Manufacturers and distributors
Multi-channel EDI for manufacturers
One integration point for every channel: a new retailer or sales channel becomes one more connection in the same hub, with its own channel and mappings.
- Retail chains
- Regional distributors
- E-commerce
- 3PLs
- Carriers
The challenge
Every channel brings its own documents and format.
A manufacturer or distributor works with retail chains, local shops, regional distributors, e-commerce platforms and logistics providers at the same time.
Each channel has different documents, formats and protocols. Managed by hand, the connections become hard to manage as the business grows.
Channels in the same hub
- RETAIL
- Full EANCOM flows: ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC.
- DISTRIB.
- Orders and despatch advice by EDI or through the Web EDI portal.
- E-COM
- Orders, stock and prices in sync.
- 3PL
- Delivery instructions and stock reports.
- CARRIER
- Shipment data and delivery confirmations.
Visibility
Every partner, every message, on a single dashboard.
In the ZenB2B portal you see each partner relationship: which messages went through this month, of what type and in what state. Undelivered or failed messages are flagged to you automatically by email, and our team contacts you with a proposed remedy when we spot an issue.

How ZenB2B handles it
One central hub that brings every channel together.
Each partner uses its preferred format (EANCOM, XML, API, CSV). ZenB2B translates, routes and monitors every flow, and your ERP sees a single format.
Smaller partners without EDI use the Web EDI portal; larger ones get full retail EDI integration.
What you gain
- One system for every partner Retailers, warehouses and carriers, in the same hub and the same portal.
- Each new channel, one new connection For each new partner we set up the communication channel and the mappings for its messages, then test them together.
- The same data in every channel Products, prices and stock come from a single source.
FAQ
Questions about multi-channel EDI
Can e-commerce platforms join the same hub?
Yes. Orders, stock and prices can be synchronised with e-commerce platforms over API or files, next to the EDI flows with retailers.
What happens when a new trading partner requests EDI integration?
We add them as a new connection in the hub: mapping to their specification, testing, go-live. The other flows stay as they are.
